On Sunday we celebrated Easter with a tasty lamb roast supper and Graham’s birthday.
Yesturday we went to Darsbery to explore the church that Lewis Carroll (the author of Alice in Wonderland) father was the pastor at. In the church there are 5 stain glass windows that depict characters from Alice in Wonderland. The church and grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. We had a nice chat with one of the volunteers. She had been to Canada for the Calgary Stampede and then took the Rocky Mountianeer to Vancouver.

He was also very interested in photography and took this picture of Alice dressed as a bagger child

We continued on to Walton Hall and gardens. The water grounds and house were very pleasant. They had the most amazing pond. I could come every week with a book and cup of coffee and read for hours.

Just before we were done exploring and back in the car it started to down pour. We got soaked, it was our first really rainy day here in England.

Today we are off to explore Liverpool with Cathleen and Phil.
