On Tuesday we went to Liverpool with Cathleen and Phil. We walked around Albert dock. All the old warehouses have been converted to cute restaurants and shops. We hopped on a bus and toured the area around the many docks.

we wondered farther down the waterfront, took a photo of the Beatles statue then headed to the Cavern Club where the Beatles first started playing. We walked through Liverpool one shopping center had a quick bite to eat. We saw a few sheep from Wallace and Grommet.

Reg popped in and took a picture of an Irish pub called Scruffy Murphy’s. I love the Irish blessing. May check it out on Tuesday night when we are staying in Liverpool.
We hopped back in the car and headed to Southport, a little beach town that is a popular summer destination. We stopped for some ice cream and the girl at the counter asked where our accent was from. She was from Edmonton. Definitely gives meaning to it’s a small world. Had a little chat with her, she’s going to school here as it was cheaper for her to go to school here than U of A and she had free accommodation here.
