My cousin Cathleen, her daughter Hanna, my cousin John and his daughter Karen all headed to the Lake District. The country side was dotted with sheep farms, rock walls and houses built out of slate. The roads that we took to get there were very narrow with lots of curves. There was barely room for two cars to pass and if you met anything bigger one vehicle had to stop and let the other inch by. At one point there was two big trucks. I do not think they had 3 inches between them. They folded their mirrors in and made it. You would not want to have even the slightest depth perception problem on those roads .

We had lunch in a cute restaurant, then went on a boat ride. It was a beautiful afternoon

We headed home, said good bye to Sue, Cathleen and Hanna. John and Karen drove us to our hotel in Liverpool. I just want to give a great big thank you to John, Sue, Karen, and Graham for welcoming us into their home, showing us the countryside and making our time in England enjoyable and memorable. Thanks to Cathleen, Phil &Hanna for taking the time to spend with us.

Also want to say thanks to Maxie for filling my need for a dog for a few weeks. She’s such a sweet girl
