Mary drove us to meet a couple relatives. We then spent the day with my cousin Mark. He drove us to the Titanic Museum, a ship from WW1 &2 HMS Caroline(the longest serving warship), the park dedicated to C.S. Lewis. We had lunch in Binkey’s the second location. Then we headed towards our B&B, sightseeing along the way.

The Titanic museum was so well done. It started with the history of the Belfast docks, ship building and how the concept of the luxury ship came to be. There was an interactive ride that went through how the ship was constructed. The launch and sailing, what it was like to sail on the ship from 1sr class to third class. You continued through the museum to the tragic night it sunk and the surviving passengers accounts of the night. They did a wonderful job honouring the ones that lost their live that cold and dark night. We moved onto the trials and the new laws that were put in place to prevent such a tragedy from happening again. I can’t believe that they didn’t have any binoculars, they had a practice the day before and they didn’t get put back. The iceberg was only seen a quarter mile out because of the missing binoculars but the ship takes half a mile to stop. The final area was dedicated to the recovery of the Titanic.

Tried another unique flavor of chips. They are made in Ireland with Irish potatoes, cheese and relish. They kind of taste like our all dressed without the slight burn. The crisp company has been growing potatoes for 300 years.

The sculptures based on CS Lewis’s Narnia were so well done. Very talented welder .

Final stop of the day was our B&B in the country outside of Belfast.
