Picked up our rental car today and headed to Donegal, first day driving on opposite side of road . 🙈 We did really well until we missed the turn for our accommodation and had to turn around on a side road, didn’t realize our mistake until a car was headed towards us in the same lane. Made a quick lane change- disaster averted .

We checked into our B&B then headed and went into Donegal where we took a hour and half boat ride around the harbour. We saw some ancient ruins, the docks that people left Ireland during the potato famine from, oyster farms and a bunch of seals enjoying the sun. The oysters are ‘planted’ and it takes 3 years for them to be harvested. The seals cause the farmers lots of headaches.

After the most we stopped in a really old local pub and had a quick drink. I tried the apple cider made by Guinness brewery. It was very nice, not too sweet. Hopefully we can get it at home. We had take out on the pier and headed back to the B&B.
