We drove to the town of Vlissingen. It is an hour and half away on the south west coast. We primarily went to check out the wind organ. It is an art installation on a pier. Bamboo tubes stand upright with holes cut in each section. The wind blows through them playing music. The tone and volume is ever changing with the wind. We had a picnic lunch listening to the sound of the waves mixing with the organ to create the most beautiful sound.

We spent the next couple hours watching the boats go by and walk along the promenade.

It was market day in town so we went and checked it out. I found an airy white button up shirt to help protect me from the sun because I’m about the color of a lobster.
Friday afternoon traffic was horrible, it took us almost 2.5 hours to get back and a few hard breaks to keep from running into the person in front of us. Reg was definitely not enjoying the manual car today. However he got to see and hear a Maclaren so that almost made up for it. I will let you in on a little secret. Our little car had no where near the horsepower to keep up but that didn’t stop someone from trying.
Once we got back we checked out our little town some more. Every home has such pretty little gardens. Everyone seems to love nature and gardening.
